Windows 8 was officially released on October 26, but plenty of consumers are still running one of the preview versions released by Microsoft way before the official launch date.

Well, all these preview flavors will expire in just one month, so users have no other option than to purchase and install the full version of Windows 8.

The Windows 8 Developer Preview will expire on January 15, 2013, while Windows Consumer Preview and Windows 8 Release Preview will do the same one day later on January 16.

Users who don’t buy the full version of the new Microsoft operating system and continue to run the preview versions will get their computers rebooted every two hours, just like it happens with any other Microsoft OS that’s not activated.
