Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 launched earlier this year with Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL, and although everyone believed that this new version would only be available on new devices launched by Microsoft, the company confirmed that some models in its lineup would also receive it.

And now, according to a report by MicrosoftInsider.es, Lumia 830 is getting Windows 8.1 Update 2 as we speak, as a number of devices have already received it and more should get it in the coming days.

Needless to say, many rushed to install Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 through that little trick that involved installing the Windows Insider app and registering for the Windows 10 Mobile preview program, so in case you've already done that, no update will show up on your device.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 brings, in addition to bug fixes and performance improvements, options to pin settings to the Start screen, support for Bluetooth keyboards, settings to name your phone when connecting it to a PC, and enhancements for VPN connections.

Lumia 830, which continues to be Microsoft’s affordable flagship, comes with a 5-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal space, a Snapdragon 400 CPU, and a 10-megapixel main camera coupled with a 0.9-megapixel front unit.
