Activation codes not being sent to Windows users

The official IMO messaging app has launched on Windows phones, and although this is clearly good news for the platform and its users, it turns out that it’s impossible to actually activate it.

First and foremost, IMO is one very popular messaging solution that allows users to chat with friends either privately or in groups, with conversations automatically synchronized across devices. So if you install IMO on more than one device and authenticate with the same account, you should be able to get your conversations with you, no matter which one you use.

Additionally, the app also features video and voice calling, so it’s more or less a Skype alternative - given the fact that Skype will soon be pulled from Windows Phone 8.0 and 8.1, IMO is certainly worth a chance, as video and audio quality has often been praised by its users.

And last but not least, it comes with the typical sharing options and with stickers to make your conversations more interactive.

The only problem, for the time being, is that IMO fails to send verification codes to users, so although it installs fine, nobody can get past this step and start an actual conversation. This is most likely related to IMO’s servers, so if the company is aware of this problem at the moment, a fix should be released very soon to allow users to start chatting with their friends on Windows phones.
