Many claim that Microsoft’s universal app concept isn’t working and point to the lack of apps as the living proof, but in the meantime, there are companies that don’t really seem to care about such criticism and bring their apps to Windows 10.

Such an example is low-cost airline AirAsia, which launched a Windows 10 universal app during the weekend to provide its customers with on-the-go features on their laptops and smartphones.

The AirAsia universal app for Windows 10 lets them book flights and check in quite easily thanks to an interface that adapts to different screen sizes, which makes it quite a breeze to run on both PCs and smartphones.

You can also check the lowest fares, manage bookings and pre-book meals, seats, baggage, and travel insurance, all from an easy-to-use interface. Furthermore, when you book a new flight from the app, you receive a mobile barcode that you can use to scan at the airport kiosk and thus automatically print your boarding pass. This is pretty much the most convenient way to travel and book flights, all without having to spend any time in front of your PC.

It goes without saying that this app is completely free of charge and is available right now in the two stores, on both PCs and smartphones powered by Windows 10.
