Microsoft is working hard to improve its Bing search engine, and statistics show that all these efforts are already paying off as the company has reached a 20 percent market share in the search business.

And one of the ways Microsoft is trying to make Bing more appealing to users does not concern the efficiency or the reliability of the service but some of the hidden gems that are available right in the browser.

For instance, you can now play the classic Snake game right on the Bing search results page thanks to a silent update that Microsoft has recently rolled out. David Flink, Bing engineer, has revealed that the Snake game can be played by simply searching for “Snake game” on Bing, so you won't have to install anything.

You can control the snake with arrow keys, but in some browsers, including Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, we've noticed a small lag. Obviously, the game works best in Edge, so if you're on Windows 10, give it a try using the new browser.

If you're searching for “Snake game” on Bing and no result is displayed, you can try switching to the US version of the search engine, as the game doesn't appear to be available in other local versions of the service. To do this, simply click on the settings icon on the Bing.com page and switch to the United States.
