Microsoft keeps improving Android and iOS apps, and today it’s the turn of Arrow Launcher in the Google Play Store to receive an important update.

Microsoft’s launcher (Android users love launchers, and Redmond knows this very well) now supports badge notifications for more apps, including here Facebook, WhatsApp, and Facebook. This feature was already available in the app, but with limited support, so starting with version 2.1, the most popular messaging apps should be supported as well.

Additionally, the Arrow Launcher update also brings effects and material design animations, but also support for 24-hours display format, a feature that was highly requested by users but which for some reason was missing from the app.

Microsoft says that it also worked on fixing bugs affecting recent calls and contacts, but also on delivering performance improvements and package size reductions to make Arrow Launcher more lightweight.

The new version is available in the Google Play Store and can be downloaded on any Android device running version 4.0.3 and up. Arrow Launcher has already recorded more than 1 million downloads in the Google Play store, so it’s very clear that every update released by Microsoft comes in handy to lots of users.

If launchers aren’t exactly your cup of tea, but you would gladly use a Microsoft app to customize your Android phone, you can give a shot to Next Lock Screen, which provides several handy features for your lock screen.
