Microsoft is indeed bringing back the Start menu in Windows 10, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that everyone will simply start using it.

Those who want a more familiar UI can always turn to Start Menu 8, a third-party Start menu app developed by IOBit that retains the classic interface of Windows 7.

Today, IOBit has announced that Start Menu 8, together with all its other apps, will offer full support for Windows 10 when the new operating system becomes available on July 29.

“As we know, Microsoft will keep updating Windows 10 after officially releasing day,” says Antonio Zhang, Marketing Director at IObit. “Our IObit engineers also make arduous efforts to help our consumer lower the risks of system crash while using Windows 10 and also give our users the smoothest and easily to use system maintenance tools.”

Microsoft’s Windows 10 Start menu combines the traditional look available in Windows 7 with modern elements borrowed from Windows 8, such as the live tiles, thus creating a fresh package that doesn’t seem to appeal to everyone though.

As a result, many are expected to turn to third-party Start menu apps that would keep the Windows 7 interface and thus get rid of the all the modern elements that Microsoft released with much fanfare.
