Windows 10 user imagines a modern interface of WD

Windows 10 Anniversary Update brought several Windows Defender upgrades, including a new feature that intelligently performs scans in the background regardless of your antivirus, but users expect a makeover not only in terms of functionality but also as far as the user interface is concerned.

And because only little has changed visually in Windows Defender in the last Windows releases, users in the community have decided to create their own concepts to help Microsoft get an idea of what a modern version of the security solution should look like.

One such example is this concept created by reddit user ioannisemmanou, which envisions a modern UI for Windows Defender that brings the antivirus in line with the other apps that Microsoft integrated into Windows 10.

The imagined interface comes with a hamburger menu that provides access to scanning features and settings, but also with a fully flat look and a dark theme that make more sense, given the recent changes that the company itself has made to Windows 10 lately.

Without a doubt, there might still be a thing or two that need to be refined in this concept, but overall, it looks quite compelling, and Microsoft would really do itself a favor if it decided to at least have a look at it. The company previously said that it usually checks out user concepts, but this one deserves a little bit more attention.
