One more app supposed to block data collection

There are so many apps that can block data collection in Windows 10 that it’s nearly impossible to tell which one is better, but hopefully, users can try them all before sticking to any particular name.

So today, you can add another app on your list, as W10Privacy does almost the same thing as all the other apps that are supposed to put you back in control of your privacy in Windows 10, but this time with more options than you’d ever expect.

As you can see in the screenshot included in this article, the app groups options in tabs, and their number is overwhelming, to say the least. You can toggle between privacy, telemetry, search, network, explorer, services, Edge, OneDrive, firewall, background apps, and many others, with tens of options in every single app.

Certainly, this isn’t the kind of app that’s aimed at complete beginners, but it does come with a decent amount of information for each option. The app uses color codes, so options that are green are recommended and produce almost no side effects, while those that are labeled with yellow are conditionally recommended and must be examined on an individual basis. Red options could have negative effects on the system.

Needless to say, this little app is worth being tried by those with advanced computer skills, so go ahead and download W10Privacy to see what this one is all about.
