This is what Edge would look like with transparency

Microsoft Edge already has a new look and feature lineup in Windows 10, but consumers actually expect more from the new operating system, so it's no surprise that so many people hope that Threshold 2 will include significant changes in this regard.

In the meantime, concept designers across the world propose all kinds of designs for Edge, some of which look really good, but most of them are very unlikely to ever make it to Windows 10.

One of the most interesting concepts that we've come across in the last few months is the one created by DeviantArt user TheButterCat, who attempted to give Edge a more modern look and feel in Windows 10.

As you can see in these photos, the imagined version of Edge comes with both light and dark themes, just like in reality, and features a more shiny look with transparency across the entire window.

While transparency might actually look really good, it could also be an issue in Microsoft Edge when viewing websites because it could make it more difficult to read the content you find online. Of course, a transparency slider would really come in handy, so if Microsoft decides to go for this approach, there are ways to improve it and make it more helpful for users of Windows 10.

Either way, Edge still needs improvements as fast as possible, and with a little luck, a major overhaul would arrive by this time next year.
