The plethora of online HTML color pickers makes most standalone desktop apps of this sort seem almost useless. However, while such web tools might be great, they may not be the ideal solution for most web designers since, let's not forget, they are entirely dependant on web browsers.

However, convenience is not the only reason why you might want to try a desktop app as a color picker, as Colorado here aims to point out. In just a few words, Colorado is an Electron-based, HTML color picker that offers access to a delightful collection of color schemes and all their associated color codes.

Getting started with this utility should not pose any problems since it only required to download the archive, unzip it, and run the app via its associated executable files, no extra hassle or configuration needed.

Right off the bat, you can notice that the app's main window is split into two main sections. On the right, we have a list of various 4-variation color schemes, while on the left, a central example of how your future web page will look like with the chosen color scheme.

To get the actual color code, browse the list, pick a color scheme and click one of the four blocks from the lower left side of the main window, and that's basically about it. The color code should be automatically copied to your computer's clipboard.

With its intuitive and stylish UI, straightforward workflow, and its distinctive feature set, Colorado manages to differentiate itself from other color picker desktop apps.

Sure, we would have liked the app even more if it would have offered a bit more versatility (for example, the option to create custom color schemes) but its usefulness can't be argued even in its current form.
