Professional Renamer

Professional Renamer is a tool which enables you to easily rename multiple files and folders at once.

If you're using Windows 7, then make sure to run Professional Renamer with administrative rights. Otherwise, it will pop up several errors along the way.

The interface of the program is simplistic and easy to navigate through, thanks to the Explorer-based layout.

Once you locate and select files, you can configure filters for the renaming process. You can edit the source name by removing symbols, finding and replacing text, as well as by changing the text's format (lowercase, uppercase, capitalization).

You can edit the parent folder name, extension, counter (e.g. automatic calculation or fixed digits number), date and time (e.g. file created, modified or accessed).

You can sort files by the source or new name, location, type, size, attributes, as well as by the date of creation, modification and access.

On top of that, you can include, save, manage, import and export filters, update the file list, select or deselect all items, invert the selection, and more. In the "Options" area you can allow multiple instances, enable Professional Renamer to remember the last directory, window size and screen position, customize columns, change the interface language, and others.

The program takes up a very low amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file with snapshots for all levels of experience and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. Professional Renamer is an excellent tool for renaming files and folders, and we highly recommend it to all users.
