C-Guard Antivirus is a reliable system protection software that enables you to detect and remove viruses, threats or potentially harmful objects, in order to keep your computer safe. C-Guard Antivirus is a lightweight application that runs in the background and notifies you whenever it considers your computer is at risk.
Three levels of protection
The software has three integrated protection methods, namely, real time monitor, heuristic detection and protection components. When activated, the heuristic detection function can prompt you if a file contains harmful elements as soon as you save it onto your computer. However, you may also activate Game Mode, from the settings panel, which disables automatic virus alerts.
Otherwise, you can use C-Guard Antivirus to scan your system in order to detect possibly unwanted objects. The software can perform a full computer scan, a system files scan or a custom analysis, which enables you to select the drives or folders you wish to evaluate.
Scanning and assessing
The application can perform a speedy but thorough scan of your computer, then list all the threatening files that it detects. It displays the virus name, the name of the infected file, the type of the threat, as well as the path of the hosting file.
You can view which file is infected and where is it stored, on your computer, then decide if you want to remove it permanently or send it to quarantine. Alternatively, if you wish not to take any risks, you can remove or quarantine all the irregular files detected by C-Guard Antivirus.
The quarantine zone
The software can display a detailed list of the quarantined files, mentioning their original path. This way, you may analyze each file and decide whether to delete or restore them, in case the threat detection was rendered a false positive. You may only select one file at a time, in order to remove or restore.
With all the threats that come and go with online file transfers, it is imperative for any computer to be protected against harmful objects. C-Guard Antivirus can detect potential threats, viruses or otherwise any irregular file and prompt you to remove or quarantine it, thus offering your computer the kind of protection it needs.
