MAV Antivirus

MAV Antivirus is an effective piece of software created to assist you in defending your system against outside threats, allowing you to detect and remove viruses and other such infections.

After the installation process completes, you will need to restart or log off your computer in order for the changes to take effect and the program to be able to secure your PC.

Its interface is fairly simple and easy to handle, which means you do not need that much prior experience with similar applications.

The main window of MAV Antivirus displays your PC’s protection status, as well as some information about the OS you are using. In the side panel, you can find the functions you can work with, namely ‘Scan’, ‘Tool’ and ‘Setting’.

Before anything else, you should perform a scan in order to determine the state your computer finds itself in. You can choose between ‘Quick Scan’, ‘Full Scan’ and ‘Custom Scan’, the last of which allows you to manually select the targeted folder and analyze it.

The results are displayed in three categories, specifically ‘Virus’, ‘Registry’ and ‘Hidden’, helping you ‘Cleanup’ all the detected items, removing them from your system.

The ‘Tool’ section of MAV Antivirus allows you to view the currently running processes and services, enabling you to terminate them with a couple of clicks. Similarly, you can display the ‘Startup’ programs and remove the ones that do not belong there.

The ‘MAV Lock’ section lets you lock one or more drives. From ‘Settings’, you can activate or deactivate ‘Real Time Protection’, choose whether to scan removable disks when inserted, and several others configuration preferences.

Leaving the responsiveness issues aside, which show that the utility is still under development, MAV Antivirus is fairly efficient and easy to handle, enabling you to secure your system against various dangers and infections with little effort.
