Adobe PageMaker is the predecessor of the well-known Adobe InDesign and one of the first desktop publishing software, which revolutionized the way designers manage their projects. Although it is no longer under active development, it still provides an advanced set of tools for creating high-quality publications.

Designed to enhance productivity without affecting output quality, the application comes with time-saving features that enable you to design simple to complex projects. From one-page flyers, labels, brochures, newsletters and reports to professional presentations and index-based ebooks, you can create it all with Adobe PageMaker.

It includes a variate collection of predesigned templates that you can customize to fit your needs, but you can also create page layouts from scratch. You can work with frames that include text and graphic elements and generate multiple versions of the same layout by using layers. The built-in story editor is designed to help you edit elements and objects, while text can be formatted directly in layout view.

Adobe PageMaker enables you to insert media content into your projects (including clip-art photographs and other objects) and export them to PDF format, while adding document information and changing security settings. It features advanced printing control and color management options, in order to ensure high-quality outputs and compatibility with any printing device.

Plugins support is designed to extend its functionality and add new features that can improve editing and exporting capabilities. For instance, you can use plugins to build booklets, merge records, create color libraries or convert publications.

The interface is simple and intuitive, although not by far similar to the looks and aesthetics of the latest Adobe products. The flexible working environment and Illustrator and Photoshop integration are designed to significantly ease your work and smoothen the learning curve.

Adobe PageMaker provides a comprehensive publishing platform and advanced features for designing compelling print layouts. However, its successor, Adobe InDesign offers an extended set of tools and enhanced capabilities that take page design to a whole new level.
