Seeing how RAR is probably the most widespread archive file format there is, it’s of no surprise that there are a lot of tool choices when it comes to extracting the files contained inside the archives.
RAR File Extractor is one of those choices. Right off the bat you notice that the application displays a user-friendly interface that makes it very clear what it can do. Meaningly, extract files from RAR archives. And that’s all it does. It can not create archive from files.
To obtain files from an archive using RAR File Extractor, you first need to select the archive from your computer. Afterwards you choose the destination folder for the files that are located inside the RAR file. If you intend to use your desktop as the extraction destination you should create a new folder first because if the archive contains a large number of files, then chances are your desktop is going to fill up pretty fast. RAR File Extractor doesn’t provide you with the option to extract the files into a new folder that has the name of the archive, as many other archive extractors do but that's just a minor inconvenience.
