TinyClock

TinyClock is a lightweight and portable application that shows a very small clock on the screen, which stays on top of other windows. It displays white text on a black background, and contains a few customization preferences.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can save the downloaded .exe file in a custom location on the hard disk and double-click it to launch the program. Another possibility is to keep it stored on a USB flash drive to run it on any computer with minimum effort. It doesn't make any changes in the Windows registry or create extra files on the disk without your permission.

Once launched, the tiny clock is shown on the bottom right corner of the screen. By opening the context menu, you can switch from 12 to 24-clock mode, display the seconds and current date, as well as create an icon in the systray area to be able to toggle its visibility by double-clicking this icon.

Moreover, it's possible to personalize the date style (short or long date format in clock and tooltip), along with the font settings (e.g. type, text and background color). Plus, you can make the background transparent.

As we expected, it didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the computer throughout our evaluation, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and RAM to work properly. We haven't come across any stability issues, running on low CPU and RAM.

On the other hand, the interface of the TinyClock could use some improvements. We must also take into account that it hasn't been updated for a long time. Nevertheless, it gets the job done and can be easily used by anyone.
