Tomato Timer is a small Windows application whose purpose is to help you create tasks in order to schedule your free time. Its purpose is to alarm you to take 5 minute breaks after every 25 minutes.
You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that empowers you to tweak the dedicated parameters with minimal effort. Everything is kept as simple and clear as possible, so there’s support for only a few configuration settings that you can play with.
How it works
Tomato Timer gives you the freedom to create a scheduled task by providing information about its name, entering the time (in minutes, hours, and seconds), as well as specifying the duration. You can create multiple tasks, and delete the selected ones.
Since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this program, even less experienced users can learn to master the entire process in no time. Tests have shown that Tomato Timer carries out a task quickly. It leaves a minimal footprint on system resources, so the overall performance of the computer is not affected.
Where it falls short
On the downside, the program doesn’t give you the possibility to upload a custom audio file from your computer (e.g. MP3, WAV, MIDI), run a specific program, and reveal user-defined text messages.
To sum things up, Tomato Timer proves to be a simplistic piece of software that comes bundled with only a few features for helping you create scheduled tasks. Thanks to its intuitive layout, it can be mastered by beginners and professionals alike.
