Surfs the web while making features like history, favorite pages, and chronology always visible, and also allowing users to set whatever homepage they like. #Internet browser #Browse website #Internet navigator #Browser #Browse #Navigate
Day Moon Browser is a tool to surf the Internet, carrying most of the features common to other mainstream browsers like history and favorite sites. This is a portable program that can be stored on pen drives so you can carry it with you all the time.
However, there is nothing about this browser that shows the slightest interest in aesthetics or even some basic layout implementation. The graphical user interface is functional, with buttons doing what they're told, but you won't see anything remotely similar to your common Chrome’s or Firefox’s design.
The buttons are laid out somewhat intuitively, but they are small and the text written on them is even smaller still, so you have to read the indications to understand the functions.
However, one of the greatest hurdles of the GUI is the browser’s location on the screen. It remains permanently fixed in a small windowed-mode. Although the panel can be maximized, it remains small, with the rest of it being filled with a gray background color.
Don't expect Day Moon Browser to come with anything close to what most us would define as a browser. Except featuring a favorites list, history list, and chronology, there isn't much else you can enjoy. In the upper part of the window you can find three tabs, out of which only one is truly useful and all it does is help you go back and forth between visited pages.
However, if you think those tick boxes don't really do anything, you're wrong. The lack of interface won't stop the app from recording your browsing history or 'chronology.' If you ask yourself what's the main difference between the two, well, the chronology feature will record every time you access any website, while history will keep track of unique web addresses you visited. The usefulness of these options is for you to decide.
However, not all functions work properly. If you try to set a certain favorite website as your homepage, it simply gives you errors.
Day Moon Browser is an effective Internet browsing tool as long as you can get along with surfing the web in a small windowed-panel. Since all it does is going back, forwarding, and saving websites as homepages, you can call it a 'half-browser.'
