BigAnt Messenger 2.97 Service Pack 5
This instant messaging client delivers a clean and intuitive layout. If you are familiar with other chat tools then you should encounter no difficulties in tweaking the entire process.
BigAnt Messenger displays all contacts, online users and your contacts, and lets you view a discussion group, links, bulletin messages and documents. You may also pick the preferred status, such as Online, Busy or Away.
The chat panel looks highly intuitive. You can insert emoticons in your messages, alter the text in terms of color, font, font style and size, insert quick reply lines, password-protect a message, send files using the drag-and-drop support, send folders, access the history panel, start a call, initiate a video call, and carry out remote tasks.
Furthermore, you can take snapshots with a custom region of the screen and edit the screenshots by embedding arrows, user-defined text messages and frames, and highlighting custom areas from the image. You can send the snapshots to other users or export them to BMP file format.
Message history, unread messages and contact searches
The tool keeps a history with all your messages and displays them in an Explorer-like layout. You can view all text items organized in different categories, such as Messages (Inbox and Outbox), Conference record, Group chat and Unread messages.
In addition, you can check out details about the sender, receiver, subject, date and time, as well as the message content. You may refresh the information revealed in the message history, export the selected messages to RTF file format, delete the selected messages, as well as look for messages or users.
BigAnt Messenger shows all your unread messages, along with information about them, such as sender name, date and subject. Plus, you may read or delete messages. A search function is implemented in order to help you find contacts by account/full name or phone/mobile.
Profile editing options and general settings
You may alter several parameters related to your account, namely gender, department, telephone number, mobile, email address, P.O. box, birthday, title, fax, home telephone and ZIP code.
General settings enable you to automatically run the utility at Windows startup, remember your password, automatically sign in, show offline contacts, as well as reveal online users in a group.
Message, video, connection and sound settings
Messages can be tweaked by making the application show popups when an outgoing message was read by your contacts, hiding message subject in the popup note, automatically keeping a history of all conversations, showing the last conversation in new message windows, displaying emoticons, as well as revealing popup notifications when a message is received. Plus, you can specify the directories where data and received files are stored.
You may enable your webcam, set up connection parameters (e.g. enter the server name and port number or configure a proxy server), as well as turn on sound notifications (you may add WAV files from your computer).
Quick reply, custom status, auto-reply, hotkeys and password configuration options
BigAnt Messenger lets you build up a quick reply list that contains short phrases you frequently use as answers to incoming messages, enter your own availability status, enable the auto-reply mode (‘I’m Away,’ ‘I’m busy,’ ‘Do not disturb’), set up hotkeys, change your password, as well as assign a picture to your profile (BMP, JPEG or PNG file format).
A complete and powerful instant messaging client
Taken into consideration that BigAnt Messenger integrates support for IM features, group discussion, voice/video chat, file/folder sending options and remote desktop tasks, and successfully integrates them in an intuitive environment, you may rely on this tool to secure enterprise-level communication.
