If you are keen on taking all the required precautions towards keeping your privacy untouched while you chat with your friends, then you might want to turn towards what a communication app with end-to-end encryption has to offer.

This said, Isotonix is a comprehensive multiprotocol messenger that features support for the encryption-based Tox protocol. If you are not familiar with other apps that use this protocol, then you should know that connections are established via randomly generated and unique IDs.

Once the ID is assigned and shared, you can start sending text messages or even host or join group conversations. Once the conversations start flowing, you get to experience the app's functional user interface.

It is clearly not a contender to winning any prizes in terms of design but everything is right where it should be: contacts on the left, the writing field in at the bottom and, as expected, the conversation preview takes up most space in the main window.

The utility enables you to take advantage of metacontacts, a Faux offline messaging feature and DNS discovery for Tox1 and Tox3 protocols. In terms of customization, you will have to do with a couple of UI themes and support for only two languages: English and Russian.
