MSN Chat Monitor & Sniffer

MSN Chat Monitor & Sniffer is designed to help you intercept and record MSN chat conversations in real time and save them to your PC for later reference.

Using the WinPcap driver, the software captures the transmitted network packets and filters the ones that come from the MSN messaging application. It can record the conversations coming from any workstation in your local area network, but you also have the possibility to filter the monitored PCs by IP address.

The program runs silently in the system tray and captures all the exchanged MSN packets, displaying detailed information for each data flow, such as the IP address, port, the user and e-mail address, the nickname and the sent or received message text. All you have to do is choose the network adapter and press the 'Start' button.

You can save the recorded MSN conversations to your computer in HTML format and access them later using the 'MSN Conversation Browser'.

Setting hotkeys and logging capabilities are other features that this application comes with. You can schedule it to automatically send the chat logs to your e-mail address at user-defined dates and times.

Optionally, the program can be set to clear all the recorded information after sending the e-mail. Together with password protection, this feature allows you to leave no trace of the captured packets.

MSN Chat Monitor & Sniffer allows you to easily save network MSN chat conversations to your computer. However, since Microsoft intends to drop support for Windows Live Messenger, the program will no longer find its purpose.
