Free Email Collection
Free Email Collection is a very simple and easy to handle piece of software created to perform a single function: that of retrieving the electronic addresses from written documents and output them in editable form, so you can copy and paste them in your mailinglist or a text file.
Basic and straightforward appearance
The application goes through a quick installation process, with no events to speak of, after which you can launch it and start working with it.
Free Email Collection’s user interface is beyond basic, as it only features a panel for displaying the results and a button to allow you to load the source file.
Swiftly locate the email addresses from your written files
The program does not support a large number of file types, and among those supported are TXT, XML, RTF or other similar formats. Its method of functioning consists of analyzing the contents of the document and detecting ‘@’ signs.
After loading the source file into Free Email Collection, it will quickly scan it and report its size in bytes and the total amount of ‘@’ signs that it could find, allowing you to click ‘OK’ in order for it to extract the addresses and display them in the main window.
Once complete, the entries are queued in the results panel, so you can view and copy them to clipboard (using keyboard shortcuts, as right-click menu options are not available), to paste them in another document, since the utility does not feature an ‘Export’ or ‘Save’ function.
A straightforward email gathering instrument
To sum it up, Free Email Collection is a very basic address extraction tool which simply performs the task of finding and grabbing strings containing the ‘@’ sign from common written files, displaying them in its main window and enabling you to decide what to do with them.
