Designed for the Adobe AIR platform, Antenna is a program which enables you to listen to online radio stations from all over the world. It can be easily handled, even by first-time users.
The interface of the application is clean and intuitive. The layout displays a world map where you can simply click a country to find out all the radio stations that it contains.
In addition, you can filter the search by flags or genre, as well as view recent or rated stations. Plus, you can zoom in and out of the map, chat with people via AntennaChat, and find radio stations by using a standard search tool.
From the 'Preferences' screen, you can pick a different map service (e.g. Yahoo! Maps, ArcGis World Physical, OpenStreetMap Cycle Map), as well as add a new station by specifying the country of origin, name, URL and category. Settings can be restored to their default values.
The application is very responsive to commands and runs on a high amount of CPU and system memory. The radio stations deliver a good sound quality but not all of them work. Further on the downside, you cannot rate radio stations, create new categories or a favorite list. Nevertheless, first-time users may seamlessly find their way around this app, thanks to its intuitive layout.
