This Windows utility contains a long list of online TV channels, from almost any country on the globe, so that you can watch their favorite TV channel wherever you go.
Seamless setup and minimal layout
The installation does not pose any issues to users, as it does not come packed with any unpleasant surprises such as offers from third-party products.
After completing it, you are met with an interface which is kept simple and clean, with all channels listed on the right side, and the video feed within the center of the main window. A menu bar is also present, as well as playback controls, such as play/pause and stop, and a volume bar. As a result, it is accessible to both power and novice users.
Multi-language support and a few setbacks
Video quality depends on the stream and on the Internet connection, yet users might stumble across dead links or channels that need even a few minutes before a connection can be established, while others work pretty smooth.
The Settings window does not come with too many options, so users are not able to personalize the application to a great extent. It does include multi-language support, but only if a separate pack of files is downloaded from the official website of the developer.
Look for channels, add new ones and filter the list
A search function can be used, so that you can find items faster, while you can also add new channels, along with information such as name, description, URL, country, language and category.
Last but not least, several filters are included, so that you can easily tell which stations are new, which do not work, duplicates, spam and wrong information, and eliminate them from the main window list.
All in all, JLC’s Internet TV does the same thing as the other online TV applications and it pretty much does it in the exact same way. Some channels work, some do not, it all depends on the stream. Otherwise, it is a good tool, but does not bring any complex features or any innovation to the table. The response time is quite good and the computer’s performance is unhindered.
