VDTV is a simplistic program that allows you to access TV channels online, from all over the world.
This is a portable software, so installing VDTV is not necessary. It means that you can simply place the tool on a removable drive (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will remain intact.
The interface of VDTV is very plain and easy to navigate through. Upon initialization, you can view a list of all available channels on the right side of the screen.
So, you can check out the country of origin, name, genre, website and description of each channel.
But you can also create a favorites list, adjust or mute the volume, stop the channel, update the channel list, view channel list information (number of channels and date of release), specify the TV guide address and channel update server, as well as enable VDTV to stay on top of other processes, check for new channels at startup and to save the window position and size.
The application takes up a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and has a very good response time. No errors have popped up during our tests. Unfortunately, VDTV comes with plenty of downsides. For example, you cannot use a search function and the interface is pretty outdated. Plus, not all the channels work. We suggest you look for something more powerful than VDTV.
