SWFText is a program that comes with a user-friendly interface and which allows you to design banners and clips in Flash for your websites.
When you initialize the program, you will notice two separate windows. One lets you configure settings and the other one lets you preview results.
So, you can set the movie width, height and speed, display borders around it, enable the context menu over it, as well as add a preload to the clip, protect it from being imported and generate a compressed SWF file.
The background can be represented by a solid color, gradient color or image. But it can also be transparent. Plus, you can use background effects (e.g. firework, equalizer, forest, snow, particle, perspective).
Furthermore, you can add captions and use various text effects (e.g. blur, glance, heart beat, long jump), change the text font and layout, and add sounds (e.g. background music).
In addition, you can configure interaction settings, such as stop the movie animation after specified loop times, as well as open a web page in the browser if the user clicks on the clip or when the movie stops playing.
Moreover, you can save and load user profiles, as well as publish the Flash movie (e.g. generate an HTML code, export to GIF or AVI).
The software takes up a moderate amount of system resources, contains a comprehensive help file with snapshots and ran smoothly during our tests. We haven't encountered any issues.
All in all, SWFText is a great tool for easily creating Flash movies and we strongly recommend it to all users, especially rookies.
