Power AMR MP3 WAV WMA M4A AC3 Audio Converter has a self-explanatory title. This tool converts AMR, MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AC3, but also other formats like MPEG, MOV, AIFF and 3GP , to audio files of various extensions (e.g. MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, AMR).

The user interface is standard, and the application supports batch conversions. Here you can add files or folders (“drag and drop” function is supported), select the output format, configure output properties (e.g. bitrate, frequency, channels, attributes, compression quality), choose output folder and initiate the conversion process.

Optionally, you can use a tag editor for the MP3 files, and change title, artist, album, genre, comments, add album art, search for the information in the iTunes Store or via Microsoft, and others. You can also remove audio files from the queue, and access a help file (which is very limited).

We put a few audio tracks to the test. The software converted 50% of each file, as promised, in a short amount of time, and it managed to maintain good sound quality.

The audio converter uses a moderate amount of system memory, but we would have liked to see more features (e.g. support for additional audio formats, documentation that explains format options). The user interface could use some improvements as well. Nevertheless, Power AMR MP3 WAV WMA M4A AC3 Audio Converter gets the job done.
