When you want to listen to music on all kinds of devices, you probably find out they support only a certain type of extension.
So, to get the best out of your music, don't try to find the same song with all extensions because that can take a while. It's easier to get a software that converts your file format into all the other ones.
Switch Sound File Converter is an easy-to-use application that takes up little space and converts audio/video files from one format type to another.
This powerful tool supports most commonly used file formats, including AVI, Wave files, Raw audio files, record files, FLAC, WMV, and MPEG files.
How does it work? You simply add the file or files you wish to convert, select the output directory and format, and hit "Convert". The amount of used CPU and memory is fair.
Switch Sound File Converter takes very little time on each file (depending on its size, of course), and we haven't encountered any problems.
We converted an MP3 file into FLAC and WAV. The quality of the sound doesn't change, which is a good thing (you can't expect a converted-to-FLAC file to have better sound quality).
In Options you can customize the right-click functions of a mouse (optional), as well as access the internet database to retrieve CD album details.
