Presentations are better off with as little text as possible, and more voice to keep the crowd alive and captivated. On the bright side of things, there are various computer applications just like TextRecorder which can be used to convert required text into speech, which you can then include in other projects.

Before you can take the application for a spin, it’s a good idea to make sure your computer is equipped with .NET Framework, because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality. As for the visual design, the window doesn’t pose any accommodation problems, with a large text edit area, and several controls found in the upper toolbar.

The main resource here is text. It’s possible to write it down on the spot, paste it from clipboard, or load it from a TXT file, to which you can also save in case you’re using other import methods. You’re free to edit content, while the speech menu lets you generate audio preview either for the selected or entire text.

Speech isn’t recorded from the preview, so you first need to initiate the session. It is, however, a good idea to pay a visit to the configuration panel to set up some details related to speech, recording, and output. You can select voice, output device, speed, as well as pitch. You can also choose to speak punctuation, as well as title of the document.

Output is delivered to a location of your choice. Two formats are at your disposal, such as MP3 and WAV, with the possibility to set file format, as well as quality. Note, however, that you need to locate the LAME MP3 Encoder file to be able to save your recordings as MP3 files.
