Drumsite is a comprehensive audio processing tool which allows you to create sequences with drums sound effects. It is mainly oriented toward users with at least some minimal experience.
The interface of the application may seem cluttered, but Drumsite is actually pretty intuitive. The tool allows you to insert as many bars as you want when it comes to bass, snare, sidestick, crash, tambourine and timbale, among dozens more.
If you are unsure of how to get started, you can try some sample patterns provided by the program when it comes to Rock, Jazz and Blues, Fills, World, Songs and Metronome, with the courtesy of Patten Manager. These sequences can be edited and saved to file.
Additional features of Drumsite allow you to insert tempo, zoom in and out, use the undo and redo functions, save only the selected hits as a pattern, jump to a specific bar from the View menu, as well as select the operation type between normal, selection and play mode, as well as between heavy, medium and light mode.
Plus, you can enable looping and the option to insert patterns from the mouse bar position. Moreover, you can use a calculator to change the beat (insert original and new time signature), open Midi files, as well as customize the type of drums available in the main frame and configure their settings (e.g. sample priority, volume, fade, pitch, equalizer, reverb and distortion, compressor and gargle).
The audio processing tool runs on a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, and includes a help file with tutorials. We have not come across any problems during our evaluation; Drumsite did not hang, crash or display error messages. Its interface is outdated but we must keep in mind the fact that Drumsite has not been updated for a very long time.
