Black Media

Audio files are some of the most popular applications that you could find on the Internet, so it's no wonder that there are many applications for working with such files. One of them is Black Media.

It's a small and basic program for creating playlists on your computer, adding or removing audio files and  previewing them.

The application sports a really intuitive and fluent graphical interface, with a toolbar at the top of the screen which provides you with access to all sort of sections.

It doesn't have any customization options, which is quite inconvenient, it would have been nice if it had at least some additional themes that you could apply. It also lacks instructions or a presentation of the program's features.

The split screen makes it easy to work on multiple sections inside the application. It comes with a tree view that gives you access to your music library, as well as to playlists saved on your computer.

You can import files or even folders from your system, but the program has trouble filtering MP3 files from the others. It's also inconvenient that it only supports MP3 files, it would have been nice if it also played video files or audio tracks of another format.

It comes with a built-in media player so you can preview your audio tracks, it has all the basic controls that you would expect, like play, pause, forward, reverse or volume adjustment. It displays the artist, album, directory and name of the track.

It also repeat items or playlists in the media player. It can display lyrics for the files that have any, but it doesn't allow you to add them. It doesn't let you save or export playlists.

Black Media is a neat and useful application for creating playlists with your MP3 files and playing them inside the program, but it could use some more features.
