Metronome EXP

Metronome EXP is an intuitive audio application that allows users to improve their musical skills by providing a metronome.

Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you are in need for a metronome.

The interface is clean and straightforward and can be mastered even by less experienced users. The primary panel displays the number of beats per minute, and allows users to adjust the tempo and volume.

Metronome EXP provides many dedicated parameters, that help you select the beat type (simple beat, beats per bar, custom pattern and rhythm), pick the beat subdivision, and enable the speed trainer by specifying a start and end selection, duration, and others. The visual beat indicator can be enabled as well.

The sound source can be selected between MIDI and audio files and, when it comes to sound settings you are allowed to adjust the volume, size and color of the visual beat indicator, for up to twelve sounds.

For each sound, the application comes packed with a wide range of options to choose from, such as: Bass Drum, Chinese Cymbal, Claves, hand clap, and many others. You can add audio files to the list, provided that the file format is WAV. It also includes some metronome preset compositions.

During our testing we have noticed that the program is able to provide excellent sound quality without errors throughout the entire process. It also manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t affect the overall performance of the computer.

All things considered, Metronome EXP proves to be a useful audio tool that can be mastered by beginners and experts alike.
