My Voice Commander
My Voice Commander is a lightweight software application designed specifically for helping you perform various system-related tasks using only your voice. For example, you can shut down the computer, capture images, and open programs or media files.
The GUI looks a bit overwhelming at a first glance but this only because the tool comes packed with plenty of configuration settings.
There’s support for a help manual that presents only succinct descriptions about the application’s features. You may enable or disable the voice commands using your voice or dedicated button integrated in the GUI.
Support for different voice commands
My Voice Commander gives you the possibility to play a file once or create a list with audio files which can be played in a loop mode. The program is also able to display images in a slideshow.
What’s more, you are allowed to edit the voice commands that are used for locking the computer, activating the sleep mode, starting/stopping the commands, taking screenshots, and playing files.
A user-defined voice command can be created in order to open executable files or folders from your system. In addition, My Voice Commander keeps a log which records information about all commands.
General configuration settings
The application allows you adjust the volume and make the main window remain on top of other panels. Plus, you can automatically start the utility at Windows startup and run it minimized. You can also make the program say ‘Good Morning’ or ‘Good Afternoon’ at every startup and configure the time when the tool speaks aloud the target command.
Tests have shown that My Voice Commander carries out a task pretty quickly, while eating up a moderate amount of system resources.
All things considered, My Voice Commander helps you control several actions using only your voice. The configuration panel cannot be considered highly intuitive so you may need to spend some extra time decoding the app’s features.
