BR's EXIFextracter

BR's EXIFextracter is feather-light application designed to extract EXIF information from JPEG and TIFF photos obtained from digital cameras, and save data to CSV-formatted files. It features several settings that can be easily configured.

Setting it up takes minimal time and effort, since there are no unfamiliar options, software requirements or third-party offers involved.

As for the interface, BR's EXIFextracter opts for a normal-looking window with a neatly structured layout, where you can indicate a folder whose containing JPEG files you want to process.

After indicating the output directory and name of the new CSV file to store extracted information in, you can handpick the EXIF tags to take into account.

These focus on the date and time, camera manufacturer and model, width and height, file size, exposure, aperture, ISO, if flash was used, distance, focal length, comment, latitude, longitude, altitude, GPS date and time, along with the GPS direction. EXIF explanations and other details are available in a help manual.

Moreover, you can edit the month names, choose the date format and include sub-seconds (works for those cameras which record the hundreth of a second), add a comments line to the CSV, as well as pick the delimiter between comma, color and semi colon.

The extraction procedure doesn't take long, at the end of this you are informed whether the job was successful or not via a popup message. Afterward, you can open the new CSV file to inspect results.

The only downside of the app is that it doesn't support RAW images. Otherwise, BR's EXIFextracter comes packed with practical options to help you extract the desired EXIF tags from JPEG and TIFF photos. It's free to use and intuitive. CPU and RAM consumption was minimal in our tests.
