FILEminimizer Pictures is a lightweight application that comes packed with compression capabilities for helping users ready their photos for uploading them to different photo-sharing websites, or for sending them via email.

The interface is clean and intuitive, and offers access to three different compression levels, namely low, standard or strong, but you can define your own parameters for obtaining the best compression results. It is possible to optimize the files to the specified screen resolution and change JPEG quality.

At the end of the compression operation, you can view details about the old and new size of the items as well as the reduction percentage. The generated images can be sent via your default email client or uploaded to Facebook.

You can make the application create new compressed images and delete the original ones, add extensions before or after the filename, keep the original image format, and pick a default saving directory.
