Print multiple images on a single page easily, aided by a lightweight application that enables you to arrange your pictures in a couple of simple steps #Print layout #Image composition #Arrange images #Print #Layout #Image
While printing multiple pictures on a single page does not seem like a particularly complicated task, the process can get quite tedious when using applications that are not specially designed for this purpose.
N-up is an interesting alternative for users who wish to simplify this operation as much as possible. It features a lightweight design, even though the UI is somewhat outdated, and it can help you get the job done in no time at all.
Once you have launched N-up, you can begin importing images by just clicking any of the available spaces. Naturally, the number of pictures that can be loaded is determined by the layout, which you can select from the left-hand panel. A limited number of layouts are available at present, but we hope more will be added in the future.
Unfortunately, though, the application only allows you to import JPG files, and your compositions can only be exported to the same format. Support for more image types would certainly be appreciated.
After selecting the desired layout and adding your pictures, you can zoom in our out and rotate the pictures, as well as pan using click-and-drag actions. It is also possible to remove individual items or clear the entire list.
In order to modify the aspect ratio, you need to click the Print button and then access the device’s properties, where you can select the right dimensions. However, it would have been great if this setting could be altered directly from the program’s interface.
N-up is quite novice-friendly, thanks to the interface’s straightforward layout and the brief, but helpful instructions that are provided. However, the app is most definitely in need of a modernized UI.
In short, N-up is a clear-cut and reliable utility that can help users print two or more images on the same page, without complicating the process for no reason. It is lightweight and easy-to-use, but it still needs to be improved in some respects.
