Even though resizing an image is as basic as it gets, let us not forget that it is still a crucial function when it comes to printing, uploading images to the web or emailing attachments via clients that impose strict size limits.

PhotoScaler is a tiny piece of software designed to help you batch process dozens of pictures to a particular size suitable for a wide variety of projects that you are involved in.

While the setup is a quick and straightforward process, you should bear in mind that it is recommended to run it in administrator mode. Not only does this enable you to select the folder for installation without encountering errors, but you are also going to be able to save the output images in any desired directory.

Upon launch, you are welcomed by the Settings window where you can select the desired resolution for upscaling and downscaling. While the tool does not come with a standard interface, you should keep in mind that you can access it from Explorer's Context Menu.

It is worth mentioning that the program supports several high-definition resolutions and you can add the ones you are likely to use to the context menu by marking them from the Settings window. In case you do not prefer the standard sizes available – HD, Full HD or UHD/4K, half or double width and height to the original size – then you can specify the dimensions.

At the same time, the application supports batch processing and allows you to create high-quality thumbnails of any predefined size. You can create thumbnails by selecting the folder along with the desired scale, such as 200×200 pixels, for instance, and you are done.
