On the visual side of things, the application comes with a clean layout. Most of the space is the preview area, which is interactive, letting you easily configure position and other elements you decide to include. The tab structure makes it easy to access features like quick print, multi print, web designer, and photo show.

You get to work with image and movie files. These can either be loaded through the built-in browse dialog, or through a drag and drop operation. A side navigation panel is always visible and makes it easy to browse through content, especially because it shows large thumbnails of items you load.

Regardless of the output you want to create, several editing options can be used. On the one hand, there’s the possibility to adjust colors by moving dedicated sliders around. On the other hand, text tags and general gallery information can be included, whereas captions benefit from rich text customization options and free movement on the workspace.

Output is delivered in one of three ways. The two tabs make it possible to print out pictures on sheets of paper, either individually or in a configurable gallery layout. The web designer creates an interactive HTML gallery to include in your projects, whereas the photo show generates a MOV slideshow, but there are no slide timing options.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that TalaPhoto is a practical application you can use to process pictures and movies to create galleries for different purposes. Although edit options are not abundant, these suffice for general use, while the variety of output options make it worth your while.
