Glue is a plugin for 3ds Max that has the role of aligning the pivot point of an object's selection over the surface of another 3D model. In fact, according to the developer, the utility can be considered two tools in one, as you are about to find out.
For starters, it enables you to move a selection of objects to any surface using a simple projection of the pivot points along either of the axes. In this particular case, you can orientate the objects to follow the surface normally or, if you prefer, you can retain their existing rotation.
At the same time, the plugin can be employed to confirm a Spline to a surface via options to add extra vertices by either a fixed number or step, depending on the spine line's length or the existing knots. In other words, the tool provides the option to normalize splines before projection via fixed steps or adding more vertices.
The plugin is compatible with 3ds Max version 9 and above and, after the installation, you can find it in the Utilities menu, where you should view the More option. If the installation went smooth, then you should be able to view the plugin, so click OK to enable it.
