Illnab1024's Plugins

Illnab1024's Plugins represents a collection of three plugins designed for the Paint.net graphic editing application. It gives you the possibility to perform polar-to-rectangular conversions, apply alpha masks, and configure advanced greyscale settings.

In order to install these plugins, all you have to do is move the downloaded DLL file to the "Effects" folder in Paint.net's installed directory. There is no actual installation involved.

If the image editor is already running, it's necessary to restart it to gain access to the new add-ons. These can be found under three different submenus in the "Effects" menu, namely "Distort" ("Polar to Rect"), "Object" ("Alpha Mask") and "Photo" ("Advanced Greyscale").

Before converting polar coordinates to rectangular format, it's possible to adjust the angular offset and radial scaling. Meanwhile, the advanced greyscale extension enables you to tweak the red, green and blue channels.

If you're interested in applying alpha masks, you can use the file browser to find and add images from .bmp, .jpg, .png, .gif, .tif, .emf and .wmf files. You can mix the alpha channels or invert the mask (send it to the back or bring it to the front).

Tweaks in Illnab1024's Plugins can be made either by moving a slider or by entering the numerical values, if you have this information at hand. Apart from the fact that you can reset settings to default within the plugins, a notable aspect is that modifications can be previewed in real time.

It successfully integrated with the latest version of Paint.net in our tests, without triggering it to hang, crash or display error messages.
