ImageOpen is a small software application whose purpose is to help you view picture files in a clean and uncluttered interface. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.

Keep it stored on pen drives

You can take advantage of the tool’s portability status and run it without administrative privileges on the target computer. In addition, you are allowed to copy the utility on USB flash drives or other portable devices. Double-clicking on the executable file is sufficient for gaining access to its features. You can employ a simple deletion task for getting rid of it.

Simple interface

Compared to other image viewers that offer support for toolbars and menus, ImageOpen reveals a neat GUI that focuses solely on the previewing process. You can access the program’s functions by performing right-clicks in the main window.

Images can be added in the working environment using the built-in browse button (the drag-and-drop support is not implemented). The utility works with different file formats, namely BMP, ICO, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, WMF, and EMF. The filename of the imported picture and extension details are revealed in the window bar.

Photo viewing options

You are allowed to jump to the next picture in the folder by performing a left-click on the application’s interface. What’s more, you can go to the next or previous image, generate a slideshow with the images included in a folder and play the files faster or slower, as well as clear the entire environment.

ImageOpen gives you the possibility to make use of preset hotkeys for faster actions, keep the main panel on top of other programs, and hide the window border.

Tests have shown that the application carries out a task quickly and without errors. It does not eat up a lot of CPU and memory resources so the overall performance of the computer is not affected. You may keep it running in the background.

All things considered, ImageOpen helps you open and preview images in a simple way. It does not take too much time to get used to its features thanks to intuitive interface. The application is suitable especially for less experienced users.
