Imagine is an application which allows you to view pictures and animations in various formats, including JPG, BMP, PNG and GIF.
The interface of the program comes with simplistic elements. It's easy to navigate through it, thanks to the Explorer-based layout.
So, you can view file properties and EXIF information, copy, move, delete and rename pictures.
But you can also flip, resize and rotate them, swap colors, set the transparency level, import, export and edit the palette and change the color depth.
Furthermore, you can apply filters (e.g. blur, emboss, tint, soften, Gaussian, sharpen, grayscale, negative), zoom in and out, switch to full screen mode, go to the next or previous picture, use anti-aliasing and extract frames and pages.
Additionally, you can use a batch conversion tool, take snapshots, create a slideshow, edit animations and build a multi-page image. Plus, you can customize the viewing mode (e.g. hide the toolbar and status bar), enable shell extension, set file associations and change the interface language.
In "Options" you can set the interface color, limit very fast animations, allow the tool to start in full screen mode and in only one instance, configure keyboard and mouse shortcuts, and others.
Imagine uses a very low amount of CPU and memory, includes a brief help file (which is a little disappointing, considering the software's complex features) and ran smoothly during our tests. We didn't have to deal with any issues and strongly recommend Imagine to all users.
