Aku Video Converter

Aku Video Converter is an application designed to help you encode media files to multiple formats, including FLV, MP3 and MP4. It can be used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Media files can be imported via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch processing is allowed.

All you have to do is specify the output destination and file type, in order to proceed with the conversion task.

But you can also configure audio and video settings when it comes to the bit rate, size, frame rate, channel mode, bits per sample and others. On top of that, you can preview clips in a built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end position, capture frames, enable Aku Video Converter to preview cut segments, and more.

The media conversion software takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to preserve a fair image and sound quality (although it could had been better). No errors have occurred during our testing and Aku Video Converter did not freeze or crash. Plus, you can check out a comprehensive online help file with snapshots.

Unfortunately, you cannot configure program settings (e.g. enable Aku Video Converter to automatically turn off the computer after encoding). Nevertheless, we strongly recommend this tool to all users.
