Alive Video Converter

Alive Video Converter is a software designed to help you encode media files between various formats, including AVI, MOV, MPEG, WMV and MP3.

The interface of the program is based on a small window in which you can easily navigate.

Media files can be imported in the list via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is possible.

All you have to do is specify the target destination and extension, and proceed with the conversion task.

You can configure audio and video options regarding the TV system, compression method, bits per sample and sampling rate.

You can schedule a conversion task, set Alive Video Converter to overwrite existing files without prompt, delete the target file when canceled, and others.

The program requires a moderate amount of system resources and can take a long while to finish an encoding job. Alive Video Converter did not freeze or crash during our tests, but it popped up an error when attempting to convert a MOV file (the task was a failure).

The image quality in the output files is good but not excellent (the sound is great). In case of an AVI-to-MPG conversion, the video didn't run smoothly.

Alive Video Converter is a decent tool for video encoding jobs. However, it needs to come up with additional configurable settings (e.g. aspect ratio, bit rate), speed up the process and improve the quality of the output videos. We suggest you look for something more powerful at the moment.
