DivXLand Bitrate Calculator is specially designed for calculating audio and video bitrates required for video encoding with specific target file sizes.
Tips
Recommended settings to use for a decent quality encoding are:
- MP3 constant bitrate, at least 112 kbps
- Avoid using video bitrates lower than 750 kbps
If you want to find out the current audio bitrate of a movie, open the Windows Explorer and right-click on your movie. Select Properties. At the second tab you should see the file information, and somewhere there should appear the audio quality. (for example, 128 kbps).
Regarding video resolution sizes, for movies it is recommended to use an horizontal resolution of 640 pixels with the corresponding equivalent of vertical pixels.
