Torrent FLV Converter is an application designed to help you turn video clips into AVI, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, FLV, RMVB and MP4. But it can also prepare items for VCD, SCVD and DVD videos, as well as iPod and PSP devices.
The interface of the tool is clean and pretty intuitive. Video clips can be imported into the file list by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" function. Processing multiple items at the same time is possible.
The file queue provides the source path, duration, output directory, status and output format of each item. If you are satisfied with the default settings, then all you have to do is specify the output profile, filename and destination, in order to proceed with the encoding procedure.
Otherwise, you can configure audio and video settings when it comes to the quality, frame size, frame rate, bit rate, sample rate and channel mode. These options can be saved to a new profile but they cannot be restored to default.
In addition, you can preview clips in a small, built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end time values or position, add watermarks and subtitles, flip clips, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire file queue.
The video conversion tool uses a high amount of system resources to finish a task in reasonable time. It is very responsive, includes user documentation and delivers videos with a fair image and sound quality. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing and Torrent FLV Converter did not freeze or crash.
On the downside, you cannot customize the number of CPU cores to be used or set Torrent FLV Converter to turn off the computer automatically or to open the output directory when the tasks are done.
