iPod Converter is a software that can help you convert media files from various formats (including 3GP, ASF, AVI, MOV, RM, WAV and WMV) to MPEG-4 or H.264.

The tool comes with a very plain and easy-to-follow interface in which you can import media via the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

Once you establish the output profile and directory, you can proceed with the conversion process.

You can configure audio and video settings when it comes to size, frame rate, bit rate, channels, balance and sample frequency rate.

You can preview clips in a built-in media player and trim them by marking the start and end point.

The media converter runs on a moderate amount of system resources, include short tooltips and quickly finishes a conversion task. The image and sound are kept at a pretty good quality, but it's not excellent. On the other hand, iPod Converter failed to encode many videos during our tests, due to unknown errors.

It also temporarily froze a couple of times and the interface needs some major improvements. Although the program can be easily used by individuals of any experience level, we suggest you look for a more stable media converter.
