Nowadays, watching videos on portable devices is a common activity. However, most videos take up a lot of precious space, so they need to be compressed before they’re uploaded to portable devices.
Advanced Video Compressor is a program designed to help you optimize your video files for various devices or online services. The software can compress, resize and even cut videos at the same time.
When you load a file, the entire properties list is visible, including the duration, size, video codec, bitrate, frame size and FPS, as well as the used audio codec.
The software enables you to choose the compressing options yourself or load one of the preset profiles. These profiles offer the optimal combination of settings for a certain device. For example, you can choose to customize the videos for iPhone, iPod, iPod Nano, Facebook, YouTube and Web.
Otherwise, you can make up your own combination. You can also adjust the video frame size, choose a video codec and set the number of frames per second, pick an audio codec and the channel mode, as well as set the audio and video bitrate options.
The program supports a few output formats, such as MP4, AVI, 3GP and FLV. Alternatively, the original file’s format can be maintained for the output as well. Also, an output path for the new files can be defined straight from the interface.
Another feature that comes with this app enables you to edit videos. Thus, you can adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness, modify the volume and rotate the video. Also, the video borders can be cropped or further accentuated.
