Although the market is full of video players, there are a few less-known names that are slowly growing in popularity hoping to become one of the big guys.
Dziobas Rar Player is probably the best example as this tiny utility has been around for a while and really impressed a lot of people with its powerful features.
By definition a video player, Dziobas Rar Player claims it is able to play most video formats out there without the need for codecs, which is indeed a great thing. Plus, it has the possibility to open the videos directly from RAR files and, at the same time, to play a movie that has been only partially downloaded.
You won’t have a problem downloading and installing Dziobas Rar Player because everything has been designed to be so simple that even a baby could do it.
The interface is simple and easy to use, but we admit that a more eye candy design would be a great improvement. There are a few English spelling mistakes here and there, which look a bit unprofessional, but otherwise it remains a great tool.
It indeed works great and during our test it really managed to open all video formats we’ve tried, but the best thing is that it did the whole thing without stressing up the computer too much.
We’ve also found a compatibility issue with Windows 7 because every time we applied one of the filters included in the application the operating system switched to the basic interface until the end of the video.
All things considered, Dziobas Rar Player is a nice application to use if you’re disappointed by the top players in the market, but otherwise it remains just a dreamer that hopes to step into the elite of this software category one day. There’s still a lot of work to do though…
